Ambassador’s To The Nations; Bringing the Hope of Jesus to South America

My husband and I have partnered with a wonderful organization called Ambassadors to the Nations. We learned about them while attending Andrew Wommack’s Gospel Truth Seminar in Kansas City several years back. While there, we heard the founders, Karen and Darey Jolley speak of their work in South America, mainly Nicaragua and Mexico. They work with poor children and their families to provide them with schooling, food, love and the gospel of Jesus Christ.

“For $10 a month, or two cups of Starbucks coffee”, Karen jokes, “you can really make a difference in the lives of others”. Ten dollars is all it takes to sponsor a child through school and provide them with a meal. For many of them, this is their only source of food for the day. In comparison to what we enjoy in the United States the question becomes, “how can we not afford this?”

While there are many great organizations with similar missions, what makes this opportunity unique is that 100% of all support goes toward the children's’ needs. In other words, there is no ministry overhead, no salaries for employees and no big marketing campaigns. All these expenses are funded in other ways. Your money goes for the child you support.

Along with the monthly support program, Ambassadors to the Nations also provides other opportunities to get involved. Three times a year they send care packages and presents to the kids. As a sponsor you can either purchase the items, wrapping them up to send along with the missions teams or you can send money and have volunteers package a present for your child. As always sending cards, letters and pictures is welcomed and enjoyed by each family receiving the gift. Many times the children write back and send artwork prepared especially for you!

Each monthly newsletter you receive as a sponsor, gives other opportunities to participate.  Making pillowcase dresses for the girls, buying shoes for the children or going on a mission trip with the Ambassadors are just a few. They also raise money to build homes for families who have never had one before. They are truly a wonderful organization with a heart to share the love of Jesus in a hurting world.

To get involved or to find out more information about the Ambassadors To The Nations, please visit their website at AmbassadorsToTheNations.com. Please consider sponsoring a child today, James said that this is pure and undefiled religion, “Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world” ( James 1:27 ).

God bless you as you consider this partnership and thank you Ambassadors To The Nations for the opportunity to participate in your mission!
