To Jesus Christ Be the Glory for Ever and Ever (Hebrews 13:20-21)
“May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen” ( Hebrews 13:20-21 )
This is a perfect example of both grace and knowledge in action. Once we understand what was given to us through the blood of the eternal covenant we are free to be everything that God designed us to be.
In fact, we are to use this knowledge to strengthen, complete and equip us for doing God’s will. Amazingly, it is also Him working in and through us to accomplish this will. Not only is this so, but it also pleases and brings glory God when we participate in the role and the mission that God has designed for us.
All of this is possible because of Jesus and His role in our salvation & sanctification and His role as our High Priest. Jesus is the one who deserves glory, honor and praise for all eternity because of the great and mighty things He has done for us.
“Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, for ever and ever! Amen” ( Ephesians 3:20-22 ).
