"In speaking of the angels he says, "He makes his angels winds, his servants flames of fire." But about the Son he says, "Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever, and righteousness will be the scepter of your kingdom (Hebrews 1:7-8)

I grew up on old movies. I remember our parents occasionally renting a VCR for the weekend from the movie store when we were very young. At that time, they would pick out a few movies to bring home. Most of the time they were old movies from the forties and fifties. Of course we wanted the newer ones but they had a love for the classics and so we grew up on all the greats.

"For to which of the angels did God ever say, "You are my Son; today I have become your Father"? Or again, "I will be his Father, and he will be my Son"? And again, when God brings his firstborn into the world, he says, "Let all God's angels worship him." (Hebrews 1:5-6)

If you grew up in the United States, most likely you are familiar with the 'Christmas Story', the annual retelling of the birth of Jesus. How He was born to normal everyday people in the most humble of circumstances. Because there was no room for Him in the inn, He was born among animals in a stable carved out of the earth. As Christians we celebrate this story and the entire country takes the holiday that was originally set aside to remember Christ’s birth. Christmas is a wonderful time.
