Grace Be With You All (Hebrews 13:22-25)
“Brothers, I urge you to bear with my word of exhortation, for I have written you only a short letter. I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you. Greet all your leaders and all God’s people. Those from Italy send you their greetings. Grace be with you all ” ( Hebrews 13:22-25 )
At the close of this marvelous letter to the Hebrews we are reminded to bear these words of exhortation. We are to pay close attention and remind ourselves of these marvelous truths. The entire book is about Jesus and how He is the guarantee of a new and better covenant.
Throughout the letter the author walks us through the fundamental principles of Christ’s superiority, His role in our salvation, His role as our eternal High Priest and how His perfect sacrifice guarantees it. This book ends with a call to continue in faith citing examples from the patriarchs that went before us. We are reminded to look to Jesus as our example so we do not grow weary in this life. What an amazing story of God’s love that reaches past our circumstances bringing us to Him.
A few final words from the writer about the welfare of Timothy and His desire to come and visit these precious people in person. Then he closes with a charge to remain in grace. “Grace (God’s favor and spiritual blessing) be with you all. Amen (so be it)” ( Hebrews 13:25 Amp ).
As I close this chapter and finish this wonderful blog on the book of Hebrews I am forever changed by it and everything I have been given through Jesus. I am so thankful that the Lord has chosen me to study and write this. And now I commend you to His gospel of grace, that you may be rooted and established in it. To God be the glory both now and forever, amen!
